Waltz Jam
On the last Monday of any month in one medium sized ballroom Combine:
Musicians — or those who delight in the discovery of the next note and
Dancers — or those who seek pleasure in the next point of balance.
Whirl together using a predominately 3/4 time signature from 8:30 'till 11 or until, as is often the case, participants have lost all track of time and the bittersweet strains of “Goodnight Irene” bring the bubbling mix to a gently unified swirl
Sample and Enjoy!

Lilli Ann and Claire are back! Their last workshop sold out, so register early! Monday Night Waltz
Dancing every Monday night at Lenora's Ballroom (615 SE Alder). This is a friendly and informal event. The floor so far is not too crowded (we're growing, but slowly). The money jar ($5) is up front by the water jug. There are usually snacks (and snack contributions are most welcome). Doors open at 8:30, and the last waltz is at 11:00. Recorded music (quite varied) except for the last Monday of the month, when we get live music courtesy of the Waltz Jam. Grownup in charge: Marion
Last Monday Waltz Jam
The Waltz Jam is a casual sight-reading get together, open to everybody. It's the last Monday of every month, in conjunction with the Monday Night Waltz: same place (Lenora's Ballroom (615 SE Alder)), same time (doors open 8:30), same $5 (money jar up front). We play mostly waltzes, mostly from Bill Matthiesen's waltz books. We get some excellent musicians, and also (I speak from personal experience) some people who are happily in way over their heads. It's exhilarating to play with a group. Everyone is very welcome. Grownup in charge: Marion
Scandieclectic
Don's gig. Most Sundays at Norse Hall. 10:00am - 2:00pm, and only $4 (free for members of Grieg Lodge). A style of unchoreographed social waltzing mixing together basic elements of scandinavian, vintage, swing and argentine tango dancing. See the Scandieclectic web site for schedule details.
