Mark your calendars for 5.00 pm, Sunday, August 11, 2024. We are organizing our tenth Flash Waltz in the lovely Portland Peninsula Park Rose Garden. This fun community event is free and open to everyone who would like to play/dance and enjoy the ambiance of breezy, shady grass lanes, fragrant roses and beautiful music. Join The Peninsula Park Rose Garden Flash Waltz Band for this free, one-of-a-kind community event.

Here are the details:

The 90 minute Flash Waltz will be in the Northwest corner of The Portland Peninsula Park Rose Garden, near the rose garden stair entrance, across the street from 6103 N. Albina Ave. On Sunday, August 11, dancing starts promptly at 5:00 pm. Check the weather report. Check the forcast. if we get rained out or there are other unforeseen circumstances such as 105 degrees or wildfire smoke, the backup date is Sunday, August 18 at 5:00 pm.

Musicians:

Try to find a parking spot and be setting up in the garden@ 4:15 pm. Bring a chair, music stand and wind clips for sheet music.
